The Wilkes University women's tennis team received some regional recognition for its performance in the fall, and two Lady Colonels are ranked in the top 20 in the Atlantic South Region.

The Lady Colonels were 8-0 in the fall, and 6-0 in Freedom Conference play. For their efforts they are now ranked 13th in the Atlantic South Region.


Freshman Melanie Nolt (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central) ended the fall season ranked 19th in the region. She is 8-0 from the number one position for Wilkes, and made it to the round of 16 at the ITA Regionals.

Freshman Katrina Lynn is ranked right behind Nolt at the 20th position. Lynn is also 8-0 from the number two position, including a straight sets win in her first match of the year.
