This past weekend the Wilkes University women's lacrosse team defeated King's College 18-15 in its last contest of the season. In her last game of the year, sophomore goalkeeper
Cassie Cronin (Manchester, NH/Manchester Memorial) also broke the school record for saves in a game with 25.
In the first period, the sophomore from Manchester, N.H. recorded six saves, but in the second half Cronin was a force in the keep, saving 19 shots and finishing the contest with 25 total saves. Cronin's defense down the stretch helped seal the victory for Wilkes, as she saved six shots in the last nine minutes, holding the Monarch's scoreless over that period of time.
