Matos stamped her name in the record books during Winter Break for the Colonels. The senior guard averaged 18.0 points and 8.3 rebounds per game across three games, with her best game coming against Kenyon College in Puerto Rico. In that game Matos finished with 24 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and three steals on 6-12 shooting from the field and 10-14 shooting from the free throw line to lead the team to a 72-62 win. However, the high point during this stretch was eclipsing 1,000 career points with a 14-point performance against Eastern, becoming the 13th player in program history to reach the milestone.
