Nuss remained undefeated on the season, moving to 8-0, as the junior earned his second title of the year at the 90th Wilkes Open on Friday, December 22. He opened the tournament at the Marts Center with a Round of 16 fall over Xavier Aitelmajouh of Division II West Chester University in 3:13. Nuss then earned an 11-3 major decision in the Quarterfinals over Jacob Hachtman of King's College as he had three takedowns in the bout. A first period takedown and third period escape earned Nuss a 4-2 decision in the Semifinals over Jessie Orbin of Waynesburg University. Nuss was awarded the 184-pound title as Hudson Stewart of the University of Virginia forfeited the Finals bout.
