SCRANTON, Pa. – Erin Unterstein scored back-to-back goals to lead Scranton to a 3-0 lead over Wilkes in non-conference women's soccer action.
All three goals came in the second half as Alana Bencivengo broke a scoreless tie in the 64th minute to give Scranton the lead for good. Unterstein made it 2-0 with a goal in the 79th minute before scoring her second goal less than four minutes later.
The Lady Colonels had just five total shots and four shots on goal, while Scranton had 14 shots and eight shots on goal. “I thought they were a very organized and hard working team,” head coach
John Sumoski said.
Wilkes will be back in action Saturday afternoon when the Lady Colonels host Moravian at 1:00 on Ralston Field.
