Box Score

Dickinson scored three goals in just over five minutes to take control of a game that it eventually won 6-0 over Wilkes University. The loss was the worst of the season for the Colonels as they fell to 3-3 on the year.

The Red Devils' John Freed broke a scoreless tie with just under two minutes to play in the first half on a cross from Taylor Ferry. The score would remain 1-0 going into the half. Dickinson opened the second half with an unassisted goal from Ben Gemberling-Johnson at the 46 minute mark before Zach Pritchard answered with a goal at the 48 minute mark to make it 3-0.

The Colonels threatened numerous times, but had just two shots on goal, both coming in the first half. Ryan Phillips (Beach Lake, Pa./Honesdale) fired an empty net shot just inside the penalty box but was blocked by a Dickinson defender.

The second half saw the Red Devils have multiple shots on goal, including one from Mike Montross, who scored off a blocked shot from teammate Thomas Parkinson.

Matt Edgar made it 6-0 in the 88th minute after receiving a long pass and eventually dribbled around Wilkes goalkeeper Kaleb Smith (Beavertown, Pa./Medd-West) for the score.

The Colonels will be back in action Saturday when they hit the road to face Elizabethtown at 7 p.m.
