Bath - The Wilkes golf team finished 14^th out of 20 teams at the annual Moravian Invitational on Friday with the combined score of 331. The invitational was held at the par 71 Southmoore Golf Course in Bath.

 

The Colonels were tied with Penn State-Harrisburg, who also had a 331 combined score, but after a match of cards, Penn State took the 13^th position.

 

Sean Madden (Dunmore, Pa./) led the Colonels with a 76, while Doug Taylor tied for 18^th when he carded a 78. Jamie Montville (Exeter, Pa./Wyoming Area) finished the invitational with an 87, Brian Williams shot a 90 and Mike Turano finished out the scoring with a 91.

 

Cabrini College won the invitational with a combined score of 303, while Kings' Mike Kane won medalist honors with a score of one-under par, 70.

 

The Colonels return to action on September 27 when they compete in the Susquehanna Invitational in Hummels Warf with a tee-time of 1:00 p.m.
