Hummels Warf - The golf team continued their fall season with an impressive third place finish out of 18 teams at the Susquehanna Fall Invitational on Saturday at the Susquehanna Country Club.
The Colonels tied with Muhlenburg who both posted a score of 304, but after a match of cards, Muhlenburg slipped into the second place position.
Wilkes was one-stroke off first-place Franklin & Marshall, who finished with a 303 team total.
Jamie Montville (Exeter, Pa./Wyoming Area) led the Colonels with a three-over 73 on the afternoon, which was good enough to tie for second place individually. Doug Taylor shot a 74 for Wilkes, Mike Turano carded a 76, and Brian Williams rounded out the scoring with an 81.
The Colonels will return to action when they take on the University of Scranton next Friday at the Wilkes-Barre Municipal Golf Club.
