Lindsey Davenport (Dallas, Dallas) finished with 13 saves but allowed four goals as Wilkes University lost to Elizabethtown College 4-0 in Freedom Conference field hockey action on Saturday afternoon. It was the Lady Colonels 2010 season finale.
Wilkes fell behind just 1:01 into the game as Liz DeMatteis got one past Davenport after a pass from Julie Foster. DeMatteis got her second less than six minutes later, putting Elizabethtown up 2-0 6:48 into the game.
Elizabethtown would go on to score two more goals in the second for the four-goal victory.
The Lady Colonels finish the year 5-11 overall, 1-6 in the Freedom Conference. Davenport played all 1,120 minutes in the cage for Wilkes, saving 152 shots. She tallied a .788 save percentage, facing 184 shots on goal in 16 games.
Kaitlyn Bevans (Beaver Meadows, Hazleton) was the leading scorer for the Lady Colonels, scoring five goals and notching four assists for 14 total points.
Gina Elmy (Wilkes-Barre, G.A.R) added five assists while
Olivia Dworak (Dupont, Wyoming Seminary) had four goals.
