YORK – The Wilkes University men's soccer team fell 1-0 to McDaniel College on Saturday afternoon at the 2010 Country Inn & Suites York College Soccer Tournament in York, Pa.

McDaniel wasted little time, getting a goal Eddy Lingue in the 16th minute with the assist coming from Marrio Davis.

The Colonels (0-4) threatened late, getting a shot from Joe Brennan (Oakdale, CT, Montville) that went wide with less than a minute remaining in the contest. Both teams combined for six shots, as Kaleb Smith (Beavertown, Midd-West) went the distance in goal for Wilkes, picking up two saves.

The Colonels return to the pitch tomorrow at noon in the tournament's consolation game.
