Box Score

YORK – The Wilkes University men's soccer team dropped the consolation game 3-0 to Medaille College at the 2010 Country Inn & Suites York College Soccer Tournament in York, Pa. on Sunday afternoon.

Medaille (4-2) got on the board in the 29th minute when Rouse Alexander banged in a shot on a rebound from a save by Kaleb Smith (Beavertown, Midd-West). Alexander was in the right place at the right time just 10 minutes later when his penalty kick was saved by Smith but again he put back the rebound to put Medaille up 2-0. Medaille took the three-goal lead when Alexander assisted on a Pihlblad David goal in the 57th minute.

Smith saved 11 shots for the Colonels who will play their first home game of the 2010 season on Tuesday night against Dickinson College. Kickoff from the Ralston Athletic Complex is set for 7:00 p.m.
