ELIZABETHTOWN – Wilkes University lost 6-1 to Elizabethtown College in a non-conference men's soccer matchup on Saturday evening.

The Blue Jays controlled the offensive action during the first half, taking a 5-0 lead into halftime. After Elizabethtown took a six-goal lead in the 70th minute, the Colonels struck when Ed Zulkoski (Mountaintop, Crestwood) threaded the back of the net on a penalty kick four minutes later. The game would remain that way as the Blue Jays picked up the win.

Dakota Cole (Towanda, Troy), getting his first start in goal for the Colonels, went all 90 minutes in the net, getting seven saves.

Wilkes is back in action on Thursday as it plays host to Baptist Bible College at 7:00 p.m.
