Final Results

COLLEGEVILLE – Matt Ellery (Somerset, NJ/Middlesex) (157) and Phil Racciato (Pen Argyl, PA/Pen Argyl) (149) each posted three wins and six other Colonels won at least two matches as Wilkes University took two victories at the North-South Duals at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pa. this afternoon.

The Colonels defeated Morrisville 55-0 and the Coast Guard 34-10 before losing to Cortland 34-3 and the Merchant Marine 24-19, which went down as an exhibition match.

Ellery and Racciato both picked up wins in the sweep of Morrisville, as Ellery picked up his via pin. He got his other two victories with a 10-4 decision against his opponent from the Merchant Marine and against the Coast Guard.

Racciato got his pin against the Merchant Marine, registering his third win against the Coast Guard.

Seth Bartlett (Mongtomery/Montgomery) (133) also picked up three wins, one by forfeit, while Jeff Peterson (Edison, NJ/Edison) (141), Tyler Pickard (Blackwood, NJ/Highland Regional) (174), Daniel Brown (Friendsville/Montrose) (197), Mike Shannon (Montvale, NJ/Northern Valley Regional) (285) and Taylor Stuart (Middletown/Lower Dauphin) (125) also won twice for Wilkes on Saturday.

Along with the North-South Duals, 12 Colonels made the trip to Cedar Falls, Iowa to compete in the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA)/Cliff Keen National Duals this weekend.
