With the loss Wilkes slips to 4-5 overall and 0-1 in Freedom games. Misericordia improves to 9-0 overall and 1-0 in conference matches. Andy Bush gave Misericordia a 1-0 lead with an unassisted goal at the 33:24 mark of the first half. Dan Pinto extended the Cougars advantage early in the second frame with an unassisted tally 58:51 into the contest. Bryan Kulbacki added an insurance goal off an assist from Nick Ferguson to seal the Freedom victory for Misericordia. The Cougars held a 25-4 shot advantage throughout, while garnering 14 corner kicks to Wilkes' five attempts. Patrick Loube (Boyertown, PA/Boyertown) saw his first action in net this year for Wilkes finishing with eight saves. Misericordia goalie Dan Fritz made two stops to post the shutout win. Wilkes will return to the field Wednesday with a non-conference tilt against Arcadia University at 7:00 p.m. at Schmidt Stadium. Print Friendly Version
