With the loss Wilkes slips to 5-9 overall and 1-4 in Freedom play. King's improves to 9-3-2 overall and 3-2 in league matches. The teams battled to a scoreless first half as King's finished with 10 shots and four corner attempts, while Wilkes garnered five shots and two corners. Wilkes best attempt came on a Michael Turner (Hudson, PA/Coughlin) shot at the top of the box that King's goalie Mark Labbadia snagged. The second half began with much of the same play as each team could not find the scoring touch early. Allegro would take a Greg DeMaio pass from the right side and beat Colonels keeper Patrick Loube (Boyertown, PA/Boyertown) to the high left side of the goal to lift the visiting Monarchs to the important conference victory. King's finished with 22 shots while Wilkes took 14 attempts at net. Loube finished with eight saves for Wilkes while Labbadia made four stops to record the shutout.
