Wilkes falls to 1-6 overall and 0-2 in Freedom play. FDU-Florham improves to 5-6 overall and 1-0 in league play. The teams battled to a scoreless tie after 70 minutes to play as the host Devils held a 19-6 shot advantage in regulation. Chauvette took a pass from Lauren Guenther mid way through the first overtime period and beat Lady Colonels keeper Lindsey Davenport (Dallas, PA/Dallas) to capture the Freedom win for FDU-Florham. Davenport made 17 saves in net for Wilkes, while Devils goalie Tess Loughran finished with five stops to record the win. FDU-Florham finished with 14 penalty corners, while Wilkes garnered six attempts. Wilkes will return to action Tuesday when the Lady Colonels travel to Radnor, Pa. to face Cabrini College in a non-conference match scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Print Friendly Version
