WILKES WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY FINISHES 13TH AT DESALES INVITATIONAL

CENTER VALLEY – The Wilkes University women's cross country team finished 13^th of 20 teams at the DeSales University Invitational Saturday afternoon.

Three Lady Colonel runners set season/personal best time in the 6k race. Rachel Constant (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame ) led the way with a season-best time of 28:11. Becky Gordon (Middlebury, CT/Pomperaug) followed with a time of 28:44.

Christine Klingel (Kunkletown, PA/Pleasant Valley) finished with a season/personal best time of 28:48, while Kayla Myers (East Greenville, PA/Upper Perkipmon) also crossed the line at 28:48. Devine Craft ran a season-low 29:12, and Sarah Fillman (Limerick, PA/Spring Ford) (29:33) and Kristin Cook (32:13) rounded out the Wilkes participants.

Wilkes will be idle next Saturday before traveling to Misericordia University for the Middle Atlantic Conference Championship meet on October 27.
