With the tie the Lady Colonels go to 10-4-3 while Cortland State goes to 8-4-5. In the first half, Cortland got on the board early with a Stacey Wood goal at the 4:36 mark. Wilkes countered with an Erin Donnelly (Parkesburg, PA/Octorara) goal on an assist by Katy Fissel (Madison, NJ/Madison) at the 8:28 mark. The Red Dragons snagged the lead back two minutes later when they scored on a Rebecca Carucci goal at the 10:23 mark. In the second half, down 2-1, the Lady Colonels evened the score when Donnelly headed a Lyndsay Ellis (Shavertown, PA/Dallas) corner kick into the upper right post at the 51:26 mark. Each team had a few opportunities in the overtime periods but neither team could find the back of the net. Hayley Kay (Danville, PA/Danville) had four saves and Kate Mahoney (Kingston, NH/Central Catholic) had two saves for Wilkes. The Lady Colonels return to the pitch when they travel to local rival King's College Saturday for their conference finale at 5:00 p.m. With a win, Wilkes will secure the second seed and a home contest in next week's Freedom Conference Tournament.
