WILKES WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY FINISHES 14^TH AT MAC CHAMPIONSHIPS

DALLAS, PA – The Wilkes University women's cross country team finished 14th overall at the 2012 Middle Atlantic Conference Championship meet Saturday afternoon held on the campus of Misericordia University. The Lady Colonels saw five runners place in the top 80 as 17 schools and 151 total runners participated in the race.

Rachel Constant (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame ) led the way with a time of 28:16 finishing 65^th overall. Sarah Fillman (Limerick, PA/Spring Ford) followed at 28:47, grabbing 71^st overall in the race. Kayla Myers (East Greenville, PA/Upper Perkipmon) came in at 29:08 for 75^th place, while Devanie Craft (Meadville, PA/Milton-Hershey) secured 79^th place with a time of 29:39.

Christine Klingel (Kunkletown, PA/Pleasant Valley) (29:41/80^th), Beck Gordon (30:08/86^th), and Kirsten Cook (Windham, MA/Windham) (32:23/102^nd) rounded out the Wilkes scorers in the 6k event.

Wilkes will remain idle until Saturday, November 10^th when the Lady Colonels travel to Newville, Pa. to run in the NCAA East Regionals held at Dickinson College at 11:00 a.m.
