With the loss, Wilkes falls to 4-7 overall and 0-3 in Freedom play while the Valiants improve to 8-4 and 2-1 in Freedom play. Kaitlyn Bevans (Beaver Meadows, PA/Hazleton) got things started at the 11:12 mark on an assist from Emily Saliba (Scotrun, PA/Pocono Mountain East) to put the Lady Colonels ahead 1-0. After two straight Amanda DeChent goals, Ashley Hahn (Bangor, PA/Bangor) found the net on an assist from Kerryn Redcay (Reading, PA/Wilson). Seven minutes later, at the 50:44 mark it was Hahn who served an assist to Ashley Ream (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central) which put the Colonels up 3-2 with twenty minutes left to play. Another DeChent score with five minutes to play was all the Valiants needed to send the game into overtime. DeChent found her fourth goal of the day just 53 seconds into the overtime period to give Manhattanville the victory. Alexis Reed (Greenport, NY/Greenport) had 12 saves for the Lady Colonels while Amy Hilton had 10 saves for Manhattanville.
