WILKES MEN'S SOCCER FALLS 4-2 AT FDU-FLORHAM

Madison, NJ—Joe Brennan (Oakdale, CT/Montville) scored two goals, but it wasn't enough as the Wilkes University men's soccer team fell to FDU-Florham 4-2 Saturday afternoon in Freedom Conference action.

With the loss, Wilkes falls to 5-6 overall and 1-1 in Freedom play while the Devils improve to 6-8 overall and 1-1 in league games.

After trailing 2-0 at halftime, Brennan put the Colonels on the board with a goal at the 59:42 mark on an assist from Jason Kieffer (Lancaster, PA/Hempfield), After a Devil score put FDU up 3-1, Brennan found the net again, this time on a helper from Eric McAnena (Horsham, PA/Abington) at the 69:38 mark. Ryan Hurdes scored his second goal of the game at the 77:51 mark to solidify the home win for the Devils.

Dave Marr (Muncy, PA/Warrior Run) made 10 stops in goal for the Colonels while Andrew D'Angelo had five stops of his own for the Devils.

Wilkes returns to action when they host DeSales University Tuesday in a Freedom Conference matchup at 4:00 p.m. at Schmidt Stadium.
