Colonels Notebook
• The Colonels finished the 2011-12 season with a 19-4 record taking third at the Metropolitan Conference Tournament sending three wrestlers to NCAA's.
 
• Wilkes returns seven of ten starters from last year's roster including NCAA qualifier Michael Fleck (Easton, PA/Wilson Area) and six top six place finishers in the Metros.
 
• The Colonels 2012-13 roster goes 37 deep with a class breakdown of: 4 seniors; 12 juniors; 10 sophomores; and 11 freshmen.
 
• The roster also features athletes from four states: Pennsylvania - 22; New Jersey - 11; Maryland - 3; Tennessee - 1.
 
• The Colonels captured second place in the Monarch Invitational last Saturday as two wrestlers earned individual championships (125- Guesseppe Rea (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) and 133- Myzar Mendoza (Westminster, MD/Winters Mill)).
 
• Wilkes went 3-1 last season in the Duals earning wins over Centenary, NYU, and Plymouth State.
 
• Today's Duals features four ranked squads in the preseason NWCA polls as Cortland (#7), Centenary (#8), and Johns Hopkins (#18) join Wilkes in the national rankings.
