The Colonels (1-0) got on the board with 20:11 left in the first half. Colby Gehers (Middleburg, PA/Midd-West) raced past a Giant defender, and crossed the ball to teammate Joe Brennan (Oakdale, CT/Montville) who scored a spectacular goal to put the Colonels up 1-0. In the first half, Wilkes had nine shots of which two were on goal. Keystone had eight shots of which four were on goal. In the second half, the senior duo continued to impress. With 31:05 left in the second half Gehers made an amazing inside-out move in the left corner of the field to lose the defender, crossed to mid-field to his battery mate Brennan, who then swiftly kicked the ball in the net. Dave Marr (Muncy, PA/Warrior Run) posted his first shutout of the season with four saves. Keystone's Danny O' Rourke recorded seven saves.
