WILKES WOMEN'S SOCCER PLAYS TO SCORELESS TIE AT ARCADIA SATURDAY

GLENSIDE, PA – 120 minutes of play could not decide the outcome as visiting Wilkes University and Arcadia University settled for a double overtime 0-0 scoreless tie Saturday afternoon in non-league play.

Wilkes moves to 4-2-1 on the year while Arcadia sees its overall mark stand at 5-2-2.

Wilkes held a slight 12-9 shot advantage throughout as neither team could find the scoring touch. Kate Mahoney (Kingston, NH/Central Catholic) finished with four saves in net for the lady Colonels while Arcadia keeper Veronica Willig also made four stops.

Wilkes returns to the pitch tomorrow when its welcomes Daemen College (3-3) to the Ralston Athletic Complex for a non-conference match at 12:00 p.m. Olympian Jillian Loyden (Team USA goalkeeper) will be making an appearance at the game prior to the noon kickoff.
