Wilkes moves to 3-4 overall while Elmira remains unbeaten at 8-0 on the season. In the opening half, Elmira got things started with a goal scored on a penalty kick. The Soaring Eagles scored their second goal of the half on a corner kick from Ryan Limero. Limero's kick was perfectly executed by a header that found the top of the net by Alexander Poole. Elmira scored their third goal of the half on a miscue by a Colonels defender that skipped past Dave Marr (Muncy, PA/Warrior Run) in goal. Elmira added two more strikes in the second half as Limero and Doug Adjei added there first goals of the contest to seal the non-league shutout. Dave Marr (Muncy, PA/Warrior Run) finished with eight saves while Elmira keeper Kevin Huggins made four stops. Wilkes hosts Penn College Thursday in a makeup non-conference match that was originally scheduled for last Tuesday but was postponed due to heavy rains in the area.
