LADY COLONELS TO HOST PSU HARRISBURG MONDAY NIGHT

WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University women's basketball team will host Penn State Harrisburg in non-league action Monday night with tip off beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Marts Center.

The Lady Colonels are 7-4 recently falling to Juniata College after going 1-1 in the Cruzin Classic in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. on December 18 and 19.

Elena Stambone (Jessup, PA/Valley View) leads the Wilkes offense pouring in 19.9 points while snagging 5.2 rebounds per-contest. Megan Kazmerski (Kingston, PA/Holy Redeemer) continues to have an impressive senior campaign by adding 12.0 points per-game while grabbing a team-best 18 steals.

Kazmerski, who is one point shy of scoring her 1,000^th point, is on the brink of becoming the 10^th player in Wilkes women's basketball program history to accomplish the feat. She will be the first Lady Colonel to join the 1,000 point club since Sam Lynam did it in 2011.

Ellen Rich (Hamden, CT/Hamden Hall) leads the frontcourt with 7.5 rebounds per-game while Chelsea Brown (Garnet Valley, PA/Garnet Valley) is adding a respectable 6.7 points and 5.4 boards per-contest.

Penn State Harrisburg is 8-2 coming off victories over Goucher and SUNYIT.

The Lions are led by Amanda Moyer and Mercedes Copeland dropping 11.7 and 11.6 points per-contest respectively.

Following tonight's contest, the Lady Colonels will return to play Wednesday when they travel to Delaware Valley College for a 6:00 p.m. Freedom matchup with the Colonel men to follow at 8:00 p.m.
