Eight Colonels claimed top six finishes including a149-pound title from Kris Krawchuk (Slatington, PA/Northern Lehigh). • The Colonels have 22 wrestlers who have notched at least five wins this season as well as 20 wrestlers with .500 or better marks. • Junior Myzar Mendoza (Westminster, MD/Winters Mill) (19-4) is ranked 9th at 133-pounds according to the latest NWCA Individual rankings, while Kris Krawchuk (Slatington, PA/Northern Lehigh) (16-2) is ranked 8th at 149-pounds. Michael Shannon (10-7) also garnered a spot on the Honorable Mention list on the latest d3wrestle.com rankings. • The Colonels captured second place in the Monarch Invitational in the season opener as two wrestlers earned individual championships (125-Guesseppe Rea (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) and 133-Myzar Mendoza (Westminster, MD/Winters Mill)). • Wilkes went 1-3 at the John Reese Duals earlier this year earning a 28-6 win over then No. 18 Johns Hopkins. The Colonels posted two wins at the Wesleyan tri-match beating Rhode Island College 34-10 and the host No. 29 Wesleyan 24-16. • Earlier this season, Krawchuk was named d3wrestle.com/WWSport.com “Wrestler of the Week” after going 3-0 at the John Reese Duals with all three victories coming against ranked opponents.
