Wilkes drops to 1-3 on the young season while PSU-Harrisburg improves to 2-2. Wilkes led PSU-Harrisburg 24-20 on a Ginny Edwards (Warrington, PA/Central Bucks South) foul shot with 3:11 left in the first half. It was the Lady Colonels largest lead of the game in which they relinquished to the Nittany Lions as they went into halftime trailing 29-26. With the score tied at 51-51 and 6:01 left in the second half the Nittany Lions went on a 14-3 run that gave them their largest lead of the game 65-54 with 2:19 remaining. The Lady Colonels did not quit despite trailing by 11 as they made it a one possession game 67-64 with :09 seconds remaining when Chelsea Brown (Garnet Valley, PA/Garnet Valley) made a layup and the ensuing foul shot after she was fouled on the play. Rebecca Bailey was then fouled on the in-bounds pass and sank both foul shot attempts to seal the win for the Nittany Lions. Elena Stambone (Jessup, PA/Valley View) led the Lady Colonels with 23 points (4-9) from 3-point range and six rebounds. Chelsea Brown (Garnet Valley, PA/Garnet Valley) nearly had another double-double as she scored 18 points and grabbed 9 boards. Wilkes shot 21-67 (31.3%) from the field and 18-28 (64.3%) from the charity stripe.
