WILKES WRESTLING SEES ITS UNBEATEN DUAL MATCH WIN STREAK END AT 26 FOLLOWING JOHN REESE/ELECTRIC CITY DUALS
 
WILKES-BARRE, PA – The No. 15 Wilkes University wrestling team finished 7-1 over a two-event day as the Colonel finished a perfect 3-0 at the John Reese Duals and 4-1 at the Electric City Duals in Scranton, Pa.
 
Wilkes moves to 7-1 overall on the year as the events marked the first dual match competition for the Colonels in 2013-14.
 
Wilkes sees its unbeaten dual match win streak come to an end at 26 straight following the loss against the Apprentice School in the Electric City Duals.
 
The Colonels claimed victories over No. 20 Centenary (33-13), No. 29 Johns Hopkins (28-6) and SUNY Oneonta (34-13) at the John Reese Duals. A split squad of Colonels finished in second place at the Electric City Duals hosted by the University of Scranton going 4-1 with wins over Penn State Du Bois, Penn State Beaver, UMBC, and Penn Tech.
 
Wilkes returns to the mat Saturday traveling to King's College to compete in the NY/PA Challenge.
