PENN COLLEGE WILLIAMSPORT, PA – Four first half goals led Wilkes to a convincing 5-0 non-conference road win at Penn College on Wednesday evening. With the victory the Colonels record now stands at 6-1, while Penn College falls to 4-2. Eric McAnena (Horsham, PA/Abington) got the Colonels on the board in the 11th minute off of an assist from Michael Turner (Hudson, PA/Coughlin). At the 17:11 mark Nicholas Patricia (Apalachin, NY/Vestal) added a goal with the assist going to McAnena. Abdullah Albannay (Kuwait City, Kuwait/Abdullah Jaber) scored the third goal at the 35:40 mark with a feed from Ian Moyer (York, PA/Eastern York) and just 11 seconds later Justin Weaver (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) scored off of an assist from Ryan Joyce (Warminster, PA/Archbishop Wood). Mitchell Woodward (Wind Gap, PA/Nazareth) capped the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 82nd minute. The Colonels outshot Penn College 26-11 for the match. Starting goalkeeper Dave Marr (Muncy, PA/Warrior Run) made two saves in net and the Colonels as a team picked up their third shutout of the year.
