MEN'S SOCCER SHUTOUT 3-0 BY LEBANON VALLEY
ANNVILLE, PA – The Wilkes men's soccer team saw their five-game winning streak end by the hands of the Lebanon Valley Dutchmen on Saturday afternoon. With the 3-0 loss the Colonels record drops to 6-2 while Lebanon Valley's record improves to 5-1-2.
The Dutchmen scored two goals within the first 24 minutes of the game and never looked back. The Colonels had two shots saved in the first 45 minutes and took three corners but were unable to push a goal by the Dutchmen's backline and goalkeeper James Clements.
Lebanon Valley put the match away for good in the 51st minute when Cam Alexander scored the Dutchmen's third goal of the game.
Colonels Senior Dave Marr (Muncy, PA/Warrior Run) made six saves in net despite the loss.
Wilkes returns to action on Tuesday when they travel to Elmira College for a non-conference match. Kick-off is slated for 4:00 P.M.
