WILKES-BARRE, PA – The Wilkes University golf team opened its 2013 fall campaign with a tri-match with local rivals King's College and Misericordia University Wednesday afternoon at the Wyoming Valley Country Club.

Wilkes shot a combined score of 353. King's led all three teams with a team total of 333, while Misericordia matched the Colonels shooting a 353 at the Par 71, 6,178 yard course.

Michael Daubert (Thornhurst, PA/Coughlin) led the Colonels carding an 85, finishing tied for third overall in the match. John Scalese (Medford, NY/Patchogue-Medford) followed with an 86, while Darren Mensch (Muncy, PA/Muncy) (89), Noah Svobodo (93), and Dalton Milam (Blakely, PA/Valley View) (94) rounded out the Wilkes scorers.

Wilkes returns to the course Monday hosting King's College at 1:00 p.m. at the Huntsville Golf Club.
