DAVIDS, PA – The Wilkes University men's and women's basketball teams continue their road stretch Saturday, February 15 as both squads travel to St. Davids, Pa. for a Freedom Conference doubleheader at Eastern University. The Lady Colonels will take the court at 1:00 pm, followed by the men's matchup at 3:00 pm. The last matchup between the teams ended in a nail biter as Wilkes took a 72-71 victory when the Eagles' Anthony Parenti missed a potential game-winning floater as time expired. Alec Wizar (Lebanon, PA/Annville Cleona) leads the Colonels in scoring with 13.9 points per-game and has made a team-high 58 three-point field goals this season. Steve Stravinski (Pittston, PA/Pittston) follows averaging 11.5 points this season and adds to the deadly three-point shooting duo with 55 three-pointers made this year. Stravinki also leads the team with 113 rebounds. Pat Furst (Jamison, PA/Central Bucks West) enters the matchup averaging 11.1 points per-game on 53.8 percent shooting. Tyler Jackson (Cresskill, NJ/Cresskill) runs the Colonels offense posting a team-best 46 assists. For the Eastern men, Malcolm Garrison averages 13.5 points-per game, with Shaquan Turk (12.0) and Jimmie Willis (11.4) all averaging double figures. Garrison leads the Eagles with 54 converted three-pointers this season, and Caleb Knudsen enters the game averaging 7.5 rebounds per-game.
