WILKES MEN'S GOLFERS IN 8^TH PLACE AFTER DAY ONE AT FREEDOM CHAMPIONSHIPS

HERSHEY, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team finished in eighth place after day one of the Freedom Conference championships Saturday afternoon at the Hershey Country Club.

Wilkes shot a combined 363 (+79) as four Colonels scored in the event.

Matt Kachurak (Mountain Top, PA/Crestwood) led the Colonels carding a team-low 80 (+9) tied for second overall at the course for the day. Darren Mensch (Muncy, PA/Muncy) followed scoring a 92 while Michael Daubert (Thornhurst, PA/Coughlin) (93) and Dalton Milam (Blakely, PA/Valley View) (98) rounded out the Wilkes scorers.

Second round play concludes tomorrow (Sunday) starting at 9:30 a.m.
