The Wilkes women's team finished third of seven teams while the Colonel men came in fourth of six squads. Cassie Papp led the women's squad with a time of 17:24.61 for 16th place. Regan Murphy (Plainfield, PA/Pen Argyl) followed with a time of 17:39.29 for 17th place. Rachel Quinn (Goshen, NY/Goshen) came in at a time of 18:01.11 for 22nd place while Christine Klingel (Kunkletown, PA/Pleasant Valley) crossed the line at 18:23.36 for 24th place. Alexis Nicholson (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) (18:26.86/25th), Moriah Teed (Newark Valley, NY/Newark Valley) (19:15.89/29th) and Tracey Hilker (Hummelstown, PA/Lower Dauphin) (19:35.86/31st) rounded out the Lady Colonel scorers. For the Colonel men, Adam Davis (Scott Township, PA/Lakeland) led the way crossing at 17:45.35 for 14th place. Jordan Lindley (Hunlock Creek, PA/Lake Lehman) followed at 17:47.95 for 16th place. Tyler Sutton (Wyalusing, PA/Wyalusing Valley) came in at 18:19.91 for 22nd place while Tim Jurkowski (Honesdale, PA/Honesdale) claimed 23rd at 18:22.36. Brian McKenna (Hillsdale, NJ/Pascack Valley) (18:25.39/25th), Kendrick Schell (Northampton, PA/Northampton) (18:39.20/27th) and Dan Lykens (18:47.13/28th) rounded out the Wilkes scorers. Misericordia captured first place in the women's race with York College (Pa.) following in second. On the men's side, York (Pa.) claimed first place followed by Misericordia in second and King's in third. Both Wilkes teams return to action next Saturday competing in the Dutchmen Invitational hosted by Lebanon Valley College at 10:15 a.m.Print Friendly Version
