WILKES MEN’S GOLF FINISHES THIRD AT ANTHRACITE INVITATIONAL 9/29/2014 6:40:00 PM WILKES MEN'S GOLF FINISHES THIRD AT ANTHRACITE INVITATIONAL WILKES-BARRE, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team finished third shooting a season-low 317 at the Anthracite Invitational held at the Wyoming Valley Country Club on Monday afternoon. Marywood University took home first place shooting a 305 while host King's finished second with a score of 316, one better than the Colonels who settled for third place. Arlindo Isidoro (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth Area) shot a career-low 76 at the Par 71 course to lead Wilkes finishing fifth overall. Matt Kachurak (Mountain Top, PA/Crestwood) also shot a 76 while Alex Anderson (Bear Creek, PA/Coughlin) carded a 78 for seventh place overall. Corey Hauser (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Coughlin) finished the day with an 87 and John Scalese (Medford, NY/Patchogue-Medford) (90) and Michael Malshefski (Nanticoke, PA/Nanticoke) (98) rounded out the Colonel scorers. Michael Thomas of Marywood claimed medalist honors shooting a match-low 72 (+1).
