Wilkes moves to 2-1 on the year following the win. Trailing 1-0 early in the first half, Wilkes managed to tie the game when Micaela Oliverio (Carlisle, PA/Trinity) scored off a long pass from Sarah Wasley (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) blasting a shot past the keeper to the left side. The teams went to the half tied at 1-1 with UMASS Boston holding an 8-3 advantage in shots in the first frame. The Lady Colonels mustered a few opportunities before Katie Hughes (New Tripoli, PA/Northwestern Lehigh) sent home the game-winner with a low shot from inside the box 15 yards out thanks to a feed from Brittany Gurreri (Dallastown, PA/Dallastown) and Megan Binder (North Babylon, NY/North Babylon ). Alyssa Young (West Babylon, NY/West Babylon) recorded the win in net for Wilkes making three saves.
