Wilkes Women's Swimming Earns First Win of the Season at Cedar Crest
 
ALLENTOWN, PA – The Wilkes University swimming team earned its first win since the restart of the program posting a 138-42 victory over New Rochelle before falling to host Cedar Crest College in a tri-meet on Saturday afternoon.
 
Megan Evers (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway) took home first in the 1000 freestyle finishing at 13:24.33. Mandy Stickles claimed first place in the 200 freestyle coming in at 2:25.14. Cassie Morey set the school mark in the 50 freestyle touching at 27:18 for second place.
 
Beth Chmil came in first in the 200 IM at 2:38.54 and first in the 100 breaststroke at 1:17.01, while Sarah Cole (Hanover Twp., PA/Wyoming Seminary) touched in first place in the 100 backstroke at 1:14.47 for Wilkes.
 
The relay team of Morey, Stickles, Evers and Chmil came in at 4:25.79 for the top spot in the 400 freestyle relay.
 
Wilkes is back in the pool next Saturday traveling to cross-town rival King's College for a dual meet with the men's squad at 1:00 p.m.
