The Devils maintained their ten point advantage before Wilkes was able to get back with seven at 27-20 with just over three minutes to go in the half. FDU used a 15-6 run over the remaining three minutes and went into the halftime break leading comfortably 42-26. FDU-Florham opened the second half on a 19-7 run to extend their lead to 28. Wilkes was able to trim the lead with an 11-4 run and trailed 65-44 with 8:23 remaining in the game. FDU-Florham closed the game on a 28-4 advantage as they maintained their perfect season record.Elena Stambone (Jessup, PA/Valley View) led the Lady Colonels with 10 points while grabbing five rebounds. Chelsea Smelas (Jim Thorpe, PA/Jim Thorpe) chipped in with eight points, five boards and Emily Sofranko (Jim Thorpe, PA/Marian Catholic) scored a career high nine points. Wilkes shot 21.4 percent in the second half and 29.8 percent for the game and were out rebounded 53-32.Kyra Dayon led the Devils with 22 points and nine rebounds and she went 9-for-10 from the field. Shalette Brown finished with a double-double 18 points, 13 rebounds. Alyssa McDonough (18) and Kara Dayon (10) were the final double-digit scorers. FDU-Florham shot 48.6 percent from the field and made ten three-pointers (10-26, 28.5 percent) on the afternoon.Wilkes returns to action on Monday evening when they take on PSU-Hazleton in a non-conference tilt.
