The Colonels posted wins over ranked opponents in Dubuque, Saint John's and Luther. • Three wrestlers earned top four finishes at the Wilkes Open including 125-pound champion Guesseppe Rea (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg). • Wilkes finished in second place at the Messiah Petrofes Tournament with 154 total team points, just 7.5 points behind champion and No. 1 ranked UW Whitewater who finished with 161.5 points while the Colonels posted 17 more team points than third place and No. 2 Messiah College in the event. • The Colonels went 2-1 at the NY/PA Challenge at King's posting wins over Nassau (22-16) and Hunter College (22-17). • Wilkes finished 2-1 at the John Reese Duals posting wins over Johns Hopkins (38-6) and Gloucester (27-11). • Wilkes posted a 51-0 victory over Penn College in its season opening dual match. Four Colonels earned extra point wins in the match. • The Colonels finished fourth at the 2014 Monarch Invitational to open the season. Wilkes had ten wrestlers finish in the top-six including two individual champions at 133-pounds (Michael Fleck (Easton, PA/Wilson Area)) and 141-pounds (Pankil Chander (Cedarhurst, NY/Lawrence)). • Fifteen wrestlers have ten wins or better and 25 wrestlers stand .500 or better through twelve weeks of competition for Wilkes.
