Men's Swimming Opens Season at Widener Relay Carnival
CHESTER, Pa. – The Wilkes University men's swim team opened its 2015-16 campaign at the Widener University Relay Carnival on Saturday afternoon.
The event included the host Pride, the Colonels, and Stevenson University.
The relay team of
Greg O'Malley (Binghamton, NY/Windsor),
Thurman Fogleman (York, PA/William Penn), and Michael Henne finished second in the 300 yard butterfly relay.
Fogleman,
Matthew Nevers (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Memorial),
Austin Paisley (Sugarloaf, PA/Hazleton Area), and
Will Hauze (Wapwallopen, PA/Holy Redeemer) finished third in the 800 yard freestyle relay, while Fogelman, Nevers, and Christopher Bright took third in the 300 yard breaststroke.
Jake Chielli (Dallas, PA/Dallas), O'Malley, Bright, and Paisley finished third in the 200 yard freestyle relay, and
Peter Feno (Shickshinny, PA/Northwest Area), Chielli, Nevers, and Hauze finished third in the 7x171 yard freestyle relay. Chielli, O'Malley,
Chase Osborne (Lords Valley, PA/Wallenpaupack), and Paisley finished fifth in the 400 yard freestlye.
Wilkes returns to action on Saturday when it travels to Stevenson for its first MAC meet of the year starting at 1 p.m.
