Wilkes Women's Swimming Falls at Marywood

SCRANTON, PA – The Wilkes University women's swimming team dropped a 192.5-74.5 decision to host Marywood University Saturday afternoon in its second dual meet of the season.

Wilkes slips to 0-2 overall following the dual meet defeat.

Danielle McCole (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Holy Redeemer) broke the 1650 freestyle school record finishing fourth at 21.45, over two minutes faster than the previous mark.

Amanda Lopez (Dallas, PA/Dallas) broke her own school record in the 50 backstroke finishing first at 30.37. Lopez also broke her own mark in the 200 backstroke posting a second place finish coming in at 2:27.92. Cassie Morey claimed second in the 50 freestyle at 27.26. Morey also broke the 50 butterfly mark coming in first place at 28.28.

Allie Aspey (Dover, PA/Dover) notched first place in the 200 breaststroke at 2:47.04. Morgan Williams (Scranton, PA/West Scranton) broke the school mark in the 500 freestyle coming in at 6:13.57 for third place.

Next Wilkes travels to Madison, NJ Wednesday to face FDU-Florham at 4:00 p.m. in a dual meet.
