Women's Swimming Defeats FDU-Florham
MADISON, N.J.- The Wilkes University women's swimming team notched its first victory of the season, defeating Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham 111-83 on Wednesday afternoon.

Wilkes is now 1-2 on the season and 1-1 in Middle Atlantic Conferencemeets.
Morgan Williams (Scranton, PA/West Scranton) set a new record in the 1000 freestyle, finishing second at 12:33.69, and in the 500 backstroke, finishing second at 6:09.15.
The relay team of
Amanda Lopez (Dallas, PA/Dallas),
Sarah Fasulka (Shavertown, PA/Dallas),
Allie Aspey (Dover, PA/Dover), and
Amanda Stickles (Hamilton, NJ/Nottingham) finished first in the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:05.62. In the 200 freestyle relay, the team of
Cassandra Morey (Chemung, NY/Waverly),
Megan Evers (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway),
Danielle McCole (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Holy Redeemer), and Aspey finished first with a time of 1:50.74.
Aspey also finished first in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:29.75, and in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:17.93.
Morey finished first in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:10.32.
Lopez finished first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:07.47.
The Lady Colonels return to the pool on Saturday when they travels to Lebanon Valley College for a 1 p.m. MAC meet.
