Wilkes Men's Soccer Closes Out Season with 3-0 Loss at Manhattanville
 
PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Wilkes University men's soccer team closed out its 2015 campaign with a 3-0 loss at MAC Freedom foe Manhattanville College Saturday afternoon.
 
With the loss Wilkes concludes its season with a 4-13 overall record and 1-6 MAC Freedom mark. Manhattanville improves to 9-5-4 overall and 3-1-1 in league games.
 
The host Valiants scored twice in the first half using goals from Robin Schaufele and Christoffer Staahl to take a 2-0 lead to the break.
 
Staahl notched his second goal of the match and pushed the lead to 3-0 at the 56:34 mark of the second half as Manhattanville limited the Colonels chances in the offensive zone allowing only seven total Wilkes shots with four being on goal.
 
Tim Gallagher (Easton, PA/Notre Dame Green Pond) finished his rookie season in net making five saves for Wilkes.
