Women's Swimming Defeats PSU-Altoona in Second Home Meet
WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University women's swim team earned its second victory of the season at the programs second home meet with a 142-84 defeat of Penn State-Altoona on Saturday afternoon at the CYC.
The Lady Colonels improved to 2-6 on the year.

Cassandra Morey (Chemung, NY/Waverly), and
Danielle McCole (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Holy Redeemer) finished first in the 200 medley with a time of 2:02.65, and the same team finished first in the 400 free relay with a time of 4:06.94. Lopez set a new program record in the 100 yard free in her leg of the race, finishing in 57.88.
Lopez finished first in the 200 free with a time of 2:10.44, which is also a new program record. Lopez finished first in the 100 back with a time of 1:07.80.
Morgan Williams (Scranton, PA/West Scranton) finished first in the 1000 free with a time of 12:29.42, and the 500 free with a time of 5:58.30.
Morey finished first in the 100 fly with a time of 1:11.12 and in the 50 fly with a time of 28.93.
Megan Evers (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway) finished first in the 50 back with a time of 33.76, and in the 50 free with a time of 27.91.
McCole finished first in the 100 free with a time of 1:00.92 and finished second in the 50 fly with a time of 33.18.
Aspey finished first in the 50 breast with a time of 35.12 and in the 100 breast with a time of 1:17.43.
Kate Thomas (Schuylkill Haven, PA/Blue Mountain) finished second in the 50 free with a time of 28.31.
Wilkes returns to the pool on January 16
th when it travels to Radnor, Pa. for a meet against Widener and Cabrini at 1 p.m.
