Field Hockey Falls in Overtime at Scranton
SCRANTON, PA.- The Wilkes University field hockey team fell by a 1-0 score in overtime at the University of Scranton on Wednesday night.
The Lady Colonels fell to 4-4 while the Royals improved to 7-0.
Wilkes' best chance of the game came with 17 minutes left in regulation when sophomore forward
Marissa Surdy (Mountaintop, PA/Crestwood) drilled a shot that hit the post.
The game would remain scoreless until the eighth minute of overtime, when Krista Osbourne scored to give Scranton the win.

Dallas Kendra (Mountaintop, PA/Crestwood) made six saves in the effort.
Wilkes returns to action on Saturday when it will host Manhattanville College for the 2015 Freedom Conference opener at Schmidt Stadium, with a 1 p.m. start time.
