Wilkes Women's Soccer Suffers 1-0 Defeat at Susquehanna
 
SELINSGROVE, PA – Host Susquehanna University broke open a scoreless game early in the second half on way to a 1-0 non-conference victory over visiting Wilkes University Thursday night at Sassafras Field.
 
Wilkes slips to 2-6-1 overall following the loss while Susquehanna improves to 4-2-2 overall on the year after the win.
 
Grayclynn Juckes took possession of the ball in the Crusaders offensive end and beat Wilkes keeper Kate Mahoney (Kingston, NH/Central Catholic) to the far left post to record the game-winner for Susquehanna at the 56:27 mark of the second half.
 
Wilkes was unable to muster many scoring chances throughout the game with just one total shot on goal in the entire contest.
 
Mahoney finished with seven saves in net for Wilkes recording the loss while Susquehanna's Jordyn Slocum made the one save in goal to preserve the win for the hosts.
 
Wilkes continues its road stretch Sunday traveling to Stevenson University for a non-conference match starting at 4:00 p.m.
