Women's Swimming Drops Close Meet on Senior Day
WILKES-BARRE - The Wilkes University women's swim team dropped a close meet to King's College on Senior Day by a final score of 99-91.

The relay team of
Amanda Stickles (Hamilton, NJ/Nottingham),
Morgan Williams (Scranton, PA/West Scranton),
Kate Thomas (Schuylkill Haven, PA/Blue Mountain), and
Danielle McCole (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Holy Redeemer) finished first in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:48.67.
The relay team of
Amanda Lopez (Dallas, PA/Dallas),
Sarah Fasulka (Shavertown, PA/Dallas),
Cassandra Morey (Chemung, NY/Waverly), and
Allie Aspey (Dover, PA/Dover) finished second in the 400 medley relay with a time of 4:29.71.
Lopez also broke the program record in the 200 free, finishing in first place with a time of 2:08.84, and just missed her own record in the 100 back, finishing first with a time of 1:06.78.
McCole also finished first in the 100 free, setting a new program record with a time of 58.85. She also finished first in the 50 free, barely missing the record with a time of 26.73.
Aspey also finished first in the 200 IM, setting a new program record with a time of 2:24.54. She also finished second in the 100 breast with a time of 1:15.38.
Williams broke her own record in the 1000 free, finishing second with a time of 12:18.19. She also finished third in the 500 freestyle with a time of 6:00.04.
Wilkes returns to action in York, Pa. for the MAC Championships from February 11-14.
