GETTYSBURG, Pa.- The Wilkes University women's basketball team was defeated by Mount Aloysius College in the finale of the Gettysburg tournament by a 55-44 final on Monday afternoon.

The Lady Colonels fell to 1-9 on the season with the loss.

Wilkes trailed by two entering the half at 26-24, but the Mounties outscored the Lady Colonels 20-9 in the third quarter en route to the win.

Wilkes was led by Cara Basile (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall), who totaled 13 points and five rebounds. Mount Aloysius had three players finish in double-figures.

The Lady Colonels return to action on Saturday when they host Juniata for a 1 p.m. non-conference game at the Marts Center.
