Wilkes Men's Swimming Earns First Win of Season Over SUNY Cobleskill 140-124
COBLESKILL, NY – The Wilkes University men's swimming team saw several school records fall and recorded its first win of the 2016-1 season posting a 140-125 victory over host SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday afternoon.
Wilkes improves to 1-2 overall on the young season.

Tyler Weatherby (Sewell, NJ/Gloucester County Institutional Technology) set the school mark in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 11:30.41, claiming first place in the process. The rookie also broke the 100 IM record finishing at 1:01.38 for first place. Weatherby also earned first in the 500 freestyle finishing at 5:37.77.
Nick Walker (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth Area) took home first place in the 50 breaststroke touching in at 30.99 and first in the 100 breaststroke at 1:09.02. Wilkes saw a trio of top finishers in the 100 butterfly with
Anthony Stampone (Kent Island, MD/Kent Island) taking home first place at 1:03.08. Stampone also set the school record in the 50 butterfly with a time of 26.40.
Michael Grizzle (Upper Darby, PA/Upper Darby) claimed a pair of top-two finishes claiming first in the 100 freestyle (55.98) and second in the 50 freestyle (24.98).
Wilkes returns home next Saturday to host Stevenson University for a dual meet at 1:00 p.m. at the CYC.
